First Light

First Light - breeder Szczepan Marczynsky, Poland, 2023)

A variety with interesting and truly unique white flowers. It blooms from mid-May to mid-July, with individual flowers possibly appearing in August and September. Double and semi-double flowers appear on the previous year's shoots and individually on new shoots 40 cm above the base of the plant. Semi-double and single flowers are striking, about 14 cm in diameter, with high ornamental value. Their characteristic feature is ribbed, densely arranged white petals that contrast with the dark violet centre of the stamens. The clematis grows to approximately 1.5 metres in height, so the variety 'First Light' is suitable for planting in containers on a balcony or terrace. It prefers sunny locations and fertile, well-drained, moist soil. A very charming variety, recommended for small gardens and pots.
