Polish variety with semi-double and single, purple-red flowers with purple-red margins. Thanks to its compact growth, it is suitable for growing in containers on balconies and terraces. Bred by Szczepan Marczyński.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE: Flowers are large, 15 cm in diameter, purple-red with purple-red margins, velvety, semi-double and single, developing on last year's shoots and singly on this year's shoots. During the spring flowering period, the flowers consist of 7–8 outer sepals and up to 30 inner sepals. The stamens have purple-red anthers set on white-violet-pink filaments. The main blooming period is from mid-May to mid-July, with repeat flowering (less abundantly) at the end of August. The leaves may be single, heart-shaped, with entire margins, or divided into two or three leaflets composed of elliptical, pointed leaflets.
HOW IT GROWS: Climbs by wrapping its leaf stalks around supports. It reaches 1.5–2 m in height.
