'Stefan Franczak' - breeder Szczepan Marcynski, Poland, variety created in 2004, on sale since 2014
Flowers are bright blue with a lighter stripe running along the centre of the petal towards the base. Their diameter is 6-10 cm and they usually consist of 6 petals with attractively wavy edges. The first flowers curl, creating a special effect. Flowers with golden anthers on white filaments, blooms in June and July and grows to about 1.7-2 m.
Can be grown against small fences, mesh, trellises and other garden support structures. Can climb natural supports such as coniferous and deciduous shrubs, or plants that do not require pruning. Prefers sunny locations. Looks especially beautiful in compositions with plants that have yellow flowers and leaves. In very sunny, hot places, the flowers quickly fade and wilt. Can also be grown in containers.
