Panicle hydrangea `Polestar`

This little one is one of the earliest-blooming hydrangeas; it starts flowering in June and continues until September. It forms a compact shrub 0.6 m high and 0.6 m wide. The flower clusters are rounded in shape. Flowering is abundant, from late June to September. The leaves are small and dark green. The flowers are very original, somewhat reminiscent of `Pastelgreen`; at first they are greenish white, then become salmon pink, and closer to September they take on a deeper pink colour. It prefers sunny planting sites, but can also tolerate partial shade. It winters well, though we recommend mulching and planting in a spot protected from winds.
