  • Flower size: approximately 8–10 cm in diameter.

  • Blooming: repeat flowering (from June until autumn) — the shrub blooms several times during the season.

  • Fragrance: very strong, with notes of fruit/anise, apple and rose.

  • Health rating: very good disease resistance — some sources mention excellent resistance.

  • Certificate: has received the ADR certificate — an award in Germany for especially resilient roses.

Growing recommendations and characteristics

  • A humus-rich, well-drained substrate is recommended. Position: sunny or partially shaded, with well-drained soil.

  • The soil should not be too wet; stagnant moisture is not recommended.

  • Group/growing type: suitable both for group plantings and smaller gardens, as well as for containers.

  • Care: Light pruning can be carried out after flowering — removing faded flowers encourages repeat blooming. It is also recommended in autumn or early spring when carrying out digging or rejuvenation work.

Why choose this variety

  • If you are looking for a fragrant rose with old-fashioned flowers and good resilience — Rosengräfin Marie Henriette® is a very good choice.

  • Suitable for gardens where repeated flowering during the season and a balance between appearance and health are important.

  • With its compact form, it can function as an ornamental shrub or as part of a rose garden.
