Growing recommendations for Latvia

• Choosing a location: Roses grow best in places with full or nearly full sun. RUSTICA III will flower well in direct sunlight.

• Soil: To ensure healthy growth, choose deeper, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil.

• Planting distance: Given the width of 50-60 cm, it is recommended to plant it about 60 cm away from other plants or a wall to ensure good air circulation.

• Watering: Water regularly during the first season so that the roots establish well.

• Feeding: During the flowering period, you can use a special rose fertiliser to encourage the formation of new shoots and buds.

• Pruning: In spring (April), cut back frost-damaged, old and weaker branches, leaving the healthy and strong ones.

• Wintering: In the Latvian climate, considering the variety’s hardiness, it is definitely advisable to mulch the root zone or otherwise protect it during wet/cold winter periods. RUSTICA III is mentioned as a hardy variety.
