Description

LOUIS DE FUNES® Meirestif

Meilland, France, 1987 This orange hybrid tea rose is named after the famous French actor. The flowers are large and elegant, 12 cm in diameter, borne singly on long, strong stems. The colouring is very attractive – a bright tone, slightly darker at the petal edges and more yellow at the base. The undersides of the petals are also yellow, creating a vivid two-tone effect. Later, however, the yellow pigment begins to fade, and the petals become redder, with dark red tips. At every stage the flower is incredibly elegant, and the colours are bright and harmonious. The bush is vigorous, 1 m high, with dark green, glossy foliage, fairly disease-resistant, with sparse thorns.
